Ways to save on energy while getting warm

During winter time energy costs usually rise. Most people would turn on their heaters resulting to higher bills. But what people do not realize is that they can still get warm without doubling their electricity bill. One way is to make sure your windows are enrgy efficient.  People don’t realize that a lot of heat is lost by it escaping with poorly insulated windows. So here are some ways you can do to save energy while still feeling warm.

First of all you have to check to see if your window is double paned.  In my San Diego replacement windows service a lot of the older homes were made with single paned windows. This would lead to a lot of energy wasted.Replace your windows as soon as possible if you find out that your windows are single paned. This will not just save you money for one winter season but for the lifetime of your windows.

Obviously I have clients of my San Diego glass company business who say that it is a big expense. The only time it will be an expense is when you buy the new windows. But when you factor all the savings it will give you over the years it really is an investment. And it can also raise the value of your house. It can also save you on energy bills even during the summer time.It can make you save during summer because it also has the ability to make your home cooler.

Another good investment is frameless glass showers.Studies have proven that these glass showers can retain the heat in.  Of course this will help tremendously in the winter.  I have clients of my San Diego frameless glass shower service who let me know how much better it is with a glass shower.

So there goes some of the ways to save on energy bills while staying warm. It is an investment and not an expense when you realize what you save.
