It wasn’t until I took my Grandson to Kona Skate Park in Jacksonville Florida, which is the oldest Skateboard Parks in the United States, that I looked at this strong, durable material being used for fun! That calendar day I saw concrete in a recent light and rightly so. Kona Park has in been apply for 30 years, I took my eldest son to this park as a beginning skater in 1984. In fact the legendary Skateboarder Tony Hawke at age 12 come up to to Kona in 1982! This Park is a dream for all skaters. It was so decent to observe my son the Uncle present several moves to my Grandson Seeing at new fathers my son’s age, with children of their own skating along or at to the lowest degree taping their own. Also great to observe how a lot of girls are away there in what was a predominately male sport when skating initiated. I seen a hardly a and inquire lone girl who was 14 how long she was skating, and she said 11 years! She skated like it!
This park has reproduced the skateboarding in the 1960’s. Taking me back 20 years seeing my son street skate and going to Kona, now considering that tradition proceed with my grandson.
